The Pacific Fire Protection District is putting Proposition Safety on the November 2020 ballet. The proposition is designed to bring financial stability to the PFPD, hire additional firefighters and bring fire houses in the district up to modern living and safety standards. A firehouse is considered critical infrastructure and should be built with modern needs and services in mind.  This includes adequate housing that is necessary for personnel, equipment, and safety/health features for the firefighters that staff the houses. Due to these necessary updates and the need for additional manpower the Pacific Fire Protection District will be placing a .27 tax increase on the November 3, 2020 ballot.
